I purchased this in February '15, which I think now is the right time to write a review about it. I usually like to test any skin care products a little bit longer so I can get a real perception of it.
What Avene claims about this gel:-
Daily skin care for oily and blemish prone skin. Exfoliates with AHA and BHA offer a synergistic action to unclog pores that resulting in elimination of skin blemishes. Its unique formula contains absorbing microcapsules to ensure instant shine-control. Curcubita pepo normalizes oil secretion. Very rich in Avene Thermal Spring Water that soothes and anti irritating. Cleanance K reduces the risks of irritation. Apply once a day to dry skin, preferable at night. Formulated to minimize risks of allergy. Light tingling may be experiences while using this gel, this is just temporary and means the product is working. Avoid eye contact. In case of sun exposure, use adequate protection.
It comes in 40ml tube and cost around RM58-65 depending on where you buy it. Contains 6% Glycolic Acid, 2% Lactic Acid and 1% Salycilic Acid. Non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic, pH of 3.4.
My impression:
It has not done anything miraculous for my skin as I expected. Probably my expectation towards this products just too high in regards to the high price tag. I wanted my blemishes to disappear but they did not. they stayed at the same place as they were and took the same time if I apply a very common brands of anti-blemishes products. I've heard that this products containing AHAs which take longer to work but I think the results should be seen by now since it has been 5+ months already. Oh, I must mention that this product contribute to my skin dullness and look sad. If you like this product just make sure to put SPF during am and do not apply it anywhere near to your eyes or lips or you may feel spme burning sensation. And for the first 1 month using this, it does tingles when I apply it on my blemishes. But now, I just feel like this is a very normal moisturizer that does nothing excellent to my problematic skin. One of the pros it has, it did not dry our my skin at all.
Overview of the first ingredients:

Avene Thermal Spring Water - your can refer to Avene website on the benefit of its thermal spring water and personally I like it so much. It does soothes and calm my skin whenever I feel the need to more skin moisture using natural ingredients. This usually happen when I am watching my favorite movie at home; I just spray to my face and it feels really good.
Glycolic Acid - AHA, skin exfoliant which can irritate the skin (higher concentrartion), used in anti-ageing products (may reduce wrinkles appearance) and in acne treatments.
Cyclomethicone - silicone; a conditioning agent, emolient, solvent, carrying agent and viscosity controlling agent that leaves the skin feeling smooth.Water - solvent
PPG-15 Stearyl Ether - emolient, skin conditioning agent, makes skin soft and smooth.
By looking at this we that they put a lot of effort in the feeling of softness and smoothness to the skin. But I personally think it is good that Glycolic Acid is in the forst 5 ingredients because it is one of the active ingredients which are supposed to make this product work. I am not sure how would sensitive skin react to this because the tingling sensation (due to the AHA) but only if you put it on blemish or lips. I've heard that this product helped a lot of people but not me. Or is it just me? If you too is using this product, feel free to drop a line and share your experience. I would love to hear from you too.
