WHAT IT IS:
An overnight hydrating mask
WHAT IT DOES:
It draws in serious moisture, leaving skin looking plumped and glow-y.
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Cyclopentasiloxane, glycerin, and trehalose (moisturize); betaglucan (fights inflammation)
HOW IT LOOKS/FEELS/SMELLS:
This ice-blue gel is as thick as pudding with a faint rose scent, but it melts quickly into skin.
WHY I LIKE IT:
The first time we tried this Korean import, we expected to be dying to wash it off. But once the cool, nongreasy gel absorbed, our face was petal-soft rather than sticky—no danger of gunking up the pillowcase—and extra luminous by morning. As dermatologist Doris Day notes, "Skin can lose a lot of water while you sleep; an overnight mask is designed to help it retain moisture."
### Pro tip: Day suggests layering it over your regular anti-ager, since "it also makes everything you apply underneath it before bed more effective." And we're inclined to believe her, since she uses Laneige herself.
MY TWO CENTS:
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Being a very odd skin, its either the whole face oily or all dry. I tend to breakout more when my face is dry. I use this as and when i like it, most likely on days where i exfoliate my skin or when my skin is dry or when i breakout. I would use it right before i sleep at night. The next morning when i wake up, my face is super soft and if i had breakout most of them would be gone. When i had used this the night before, the next morning when i had used makeup, my face would become oily at a slower pace (Usually my face becomes oily at around 4-5 hours of wearing makeup, like ANNOYING!) With this my face would only show a slight glow from my sebum the whole day (i usually wear at least 10 hrs of makeup).
Also I have some parts of this mask that i do not really like:
-The packaging
-It contains alcohol
But overall I love this!
