Bye Bye Dark Spots | NIP+FAB GLYCOLIC FIX SERUM

I have been looking for something that will help with the scars left over from spots, and one of my friend recommended me to try this.

I ordered this from Luxola for RM80.50 - being the only store that carries this product in Malaysia (I guess), just to see if it really brighten my dark spots and remove the pigmentation.

The product claims,

This highly effective formua contains powerful glycolic acid to smooth the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles while improving skin texture.

Designed with pore refining ingredient PoreAway, the size of pores are visibly reduced for a more refined, even looking complexion.

Contains:
4% glycolic acid: smoothes the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles
PoreAway: minimises the appearance of enlarged pores
aloe vera: soothes + calms.

As described by Nip + Fab in their website, this to be used by gently massage onto clean skin and allow to absorb thoroughly - to use daily for visible result in just 2 weeks. Personally, I am using this at night after cleansing, toning and 'seruming' with my favorite Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, then I put this on top of ANR, finishing the routine with my daily moisturizer.

This product is meant to be used at night and I can say this product alone without any extra serum, really work tremendously. It says on the bottle to apply daily for two weeks for visible result but I noticed the difference after the second uses - scars and dark spots has faded, keeping the new one at bay, my pores has shrunk, face more youthful and glowing. So far I do not have any fine lines or wrinkles so I cannot say anything about it, but I do believe people who has it should see some difference after few applications of this serum.

I love the smell of this serum too - it is more like fresh soap to my nose. A bit tacky during application but then it soak into my skin and leaving no residue which I really love about it. The texture of this serum is lightweight gel as you can see in the picture.

When I read about this product, it contains 4% Glycolic acid and I imagined I will be putting something looking like a hair gel on my face, I am quite doubtful and unsure if I will continue with the process because I never tried anything like this before. I also worried with the high percentage of 4% going to hurt my face or something.

But then I clear my mind and simply apply it - it is completely painless except on the broken skin, it does sting a little bit but then it goes away in couple of seconds.

The ingredient list are as below,

  • Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Alcohol, Limonene, Parfum (Fragrance), Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Benzyl Benzoate, Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum, Lecithin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Geraniol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citral, Linalool, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract
  • I have not finish my first bottle yet but looking forward to order my next bottle already - soon! I love how it works and the result simply amazing. I used to have a dark spot corrector serum from high end brand before but this Nip + Fab Glycolic Acid Fix Serum couldn't be any better than the former - a big plus for the price too. It cost me 1/3 compared to the former dark spot corrector. That's why I say although it is cheap but it works.
