Oily skin is not only my problem, dry patches here and there also my biggest concern as it ruins my looks when makeup is applied. So I have an oily skin that can cook your chicken nugget, with some dry patches to toss the cooked nugget. This kind of skin condition makes me uncomfortable and demand me to wash my face every now and then to keep away the dirt and bacteria that caused more trouble to the skin. So washing my face with water alone will not help much as it will not remove the traces of oil on my skin.
Browsing through Luxola last week, I came across an exfoliation facial wash by Just Herbs - an Ayurvedic skincare made in India. Packaging wise is very simple as Just Herbs opted for a simple plastic bottle with pump which I love to keep the products hygienic. The pumped bottle also useful to control how much products you will need for each application. And I normally need one pump, enough to be used for the whole face.
This is my first experience on Ayurvedic products and I did not expect the smell of this facial wash could be overpowering - but I love it! It has a rose smell blends with orange peel and honey which I find relaxing and calming. If you concern about the fragrance products, you don't have to worry as the smell does not lingers on the skin. It is immediately gone once I rinse my face.
This facial cleanser has a brown gel like texture and not too runny which makes the application quite easy. It also contains exfoliation particles and it is gentle on your skin which I believe it is made of orange peel. It feels like a scrub during application but the fine particles did not harsh or irritate my skin at all.
From the direction of use stated on the bottle, it says,
"Apply on wet skin scrubbing gently with finger tips in circular movements for 3-4 minutes. Rinse with water and pat dry. (Avoid use on active acne)."
However I prefer to apply it on my dry skin. I always make sure my hands are cleaned before I put anything on my face. So I washed my hands first and on wet palm, I only need 1 pump to cover the whole face. With my palm, I start to lather in circular from my chin and goes upward to my forehead for about 4-5 minutes. I enjoy the smell of this products, a little longer won't hurt anyone as this products made of natural ingredients.
If you are going to try this product, do not be surprised that this product do not foam. It is not a foaming cleanser. It is a moisturizing facial cleanser with a little bit of scrub property in it.
My final verdict on this product, it is a very good daily facial cleanser which you can use for AM and PM that exfoliates the dry patches gently and removes all dirt while balancing the natural moisture of your skin without harming or drying my skin.
