Seaweed Mask | INNISFREE CAPSULE RECIPE PACK

One of my not so recent purchase with Althea Korea contains a few pieces of Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack and today I am reviewing the Seaweed Capsule Recipe.

I actually picked four 'flavors' from all recipes that Innisfree have, but decided to get 2 pieces of this Seaweed since I read a lot of good things about their Seaweed Capsule Recipes.

It is also worth to mention, at Althea Korea you can get this capsule mask for only RM5/capsule compared to other places that sell it for RM10-15/capsule. Cheap right? So if you are a fan of these capsule mask pack, you can buy more from Althea Korea.

I think this is my third time reviewing on Innisfree products without giving a chance to introduce who is Innisfree. Innisfree is a Korean cosmetics company based in Jeju Island, the home of four energies of pure nature, and the brand is dedicated to promote clean and pure energy for healthy beauty. So basically, Innisfree is like the Korean version of our 'The Body Shop'.

Let's continue with the review.. I have the Seaweed Capsule Recipe Pack here. And what is the mask do actually? According to Innisfree in their website, this is actually a whitening mask that heat your skin with the seaweed ingredients. The mask also does help with exfoliation of dead skin cells. This mask also helps in smoothing wrinkles and promote the vitality of the skin and defense the skin against aging.

How true is that? I have no idea. I am not expecting such result with only few applications.

The ingredients list are as below,

GLYCERIN, CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, 1,2 HEXANEDIOL, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, FRAGRANCE, PHENOXYETHANOL, DIGLYCERIN, POLYGLYCERYL-10 BEHENATE/EICOSADIOATE, PEG-32, CHLORELLA VULGARIS POWDER, POLYGLYCERYL-10 LAURATE, CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT.

According to Innisfree, one pack of this capsule can be used up to 3 times, but I am successfully using this for 5 times. How I use it? As usual I cleansed my face first, gently pat dry and straight away put this mask on. The texture of this mask is like a thick shower gel - non greasy although it feels oily probably due to the glycerin in it.

I leave this on my face for about 10-15 minutes then I gently massage my face before I actually rinse the thing off. I did not expect this  mask to dry on my skin since the texture is gel like. It has micro particles/granules that actually helps to remove the dead skin cells while I massaged my face. To my experience, I feel the heat and warm as soon as this mask is slap on my face. It has no seaweed or 'fishy' smell to it, I think it's more like men's shower gel - not too strong smell but noticeable.

I'm all about mild exfoliation thingy. So this mask actually one of my favorite so far - it is a multi tasking mask where I can use it as a mask then as a soft exfoliator before I wash it off. The result of using this is excellent! This mask did not break me out, it leaves my skin soft and smooth. Though it heat my face during application, this mask actually did not dry up my skin. I still feel 'just enough' moisture and it brightens my skin too! I love using thing especially when I have spent long hours outside where my skin exposed to dirt and pollution.

So many things I love about this stuff, the only down fall I found with this product is, the lid. To get me finish up to 5 applications, I nearly lost the lid for about 2 times as far as I remember. I can't reseal the container as it came off completely since the first time I opened it. If Innisfree ever drop by my post, I would prefer a tube packaging with twisted lid for this product. Not only it is more hygienic, it's also help in proper storage - good for those who wish to continue using the remaining mask on travel too.

I still have one more capsule of this Seaweed mask and will definitely repurchase once I finish it. Can't wait to review the other recipes. Keep calm and stay tune! :)
