Their Eau Thermal Avene has been around for more than 20 years and is well known for relieving and non-irritating products that are ideal for sensitive, intolerant and allergic skin types. Avene has so many product lines that is dedicated to different types of skin i.e. sensitive, dry, acne prone and rosacea.
The Avene Thermal Spring Water is essentially just water that emanates from the Cevennes Mountain in France where it undergoes a natural filtration process that makes it the purest form of water possible. The spring water is originated as rain, and over the vast amount of years, gradually becomes infused with trace elements and silicates meaning a balance mineral composition which is ideal for sensitive skin.
The neutral pH level 7, not one bit acidic nor one bit basic - just perfectly balanced. So what does that mean to the skin then? It is depends on where you are located and the quality of water supplied to your area. If you're in the US or Europe, it is possible where the tap water is safe for drinking and the pH level benefits but here in Malaysia, you can see every household is actually installing their water filter system that gives your the signal that the tap water is not safely consumed and may probably loaded with impurities.
Avene recommends their spring water spray to be used after shaving, diaper rashes, damaged or itchy skin, post-surgery, after hair removal or sunburn - when redness of the face occurs. Personally, I use this for all purposes related to my skin and as good as the purest form of facial toner in daily routines. It is non-sticky, hydrates the skin instantly. The best part, I also use this to remove the clay mask on my face so I don't have to rinse my face using the 'probably contaminated' tap water. It leaves my skin even smoother and moisturized.
Among of the pros about this spring water that I actually like, it soothes and softens the irritated skin. The fine mist is actually soothing the dry skin, redness and any skin irritation - you name it. The spray can does a very good job at spreading the mist evenly so that you don;t need to use your hand. It is very refreshing and reduces the oil production, especially those with oily skin type.
This spring water also has some cons, it is definitely on the more expensive side. Although it is also comes in smaller sizer where I'm more afford, but its probably less worth compared to the larger packages that is always in promotion e.g: Buy 1 Free 1 or Buy 3 Free 1.
So that's about the Avene Thermal Spring Water which becomes an essential in my life. It may look like just a normal water in our daily usage but it is not just a water. Give it a try especially during this hot days!
