IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream is a wonderful anti-ageing cream in my opinion. the moisturiser is designed for all skin types; non-greasy formula for oily skin type and provide enough hydration to dry skin type. I received this as a free sample from my Sephora purchase, tried and instantly fall in love with the product.
It is housed in a jar packaging which I think a bit off as the formula is packed with light and air-sensitive anti-oxidants. It's also loaded with fragrant oils which in my opinion, the smell is quite similar to a Thai signature dish - Tom Yam. The product priced at RM195 for 60ml glass jar at Sephora, which in my opinion more on the expensive side, however, looking at the lengthy ingredients list it has, I guess you're paying for what you're looking for.
I run the ingredient list on CosDNA as usual and found that there are a lot of powerful ingredients namely; Niacin, Peptides and super Ceramide combines with Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid to plump fine lines and wrinkles, enhance firmness, improve and smooth the skin texture, reduces the appearance of pores and discoloration. Let's see what the ingredients do to our skin into details:
Sodium Hyaluronate
Humectant moisturiser, proven to boost skin's moisture content, reduce inflammation, cell-communicating abilities and help to prevent moisture loss.
Niacinamide
A proven healing anti-oxidant, stimulate the production of collagen provide UV protection, reduce hyperpigmentation, anti-inflammatory, anti-acne, and anti-rosacea.
Help to restore the skin's barrier system, improve texture, reduce topical irritation and restore moisture.
Peptides
A long chain of fatty acid; amino acids, able to penetrate the top layer of the skin and send signals to the skin to let the skin know how to function.
It's also contains green tea leaves extract which is a proven anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory, help to prevent collagen breakdown and reduce the UV damage to the skin.
It's a thick cream gel-like consistency non-greasy formula which I think best to apply at night. I am using this as a last step in my night time routine. the quick absorbent cream leaves the skin feeling soft, dewy-looking and give some radiance effect instantly without being greasy or tacky. Although I sleep in the air-conditioned room, my skin feels well hydrated, well rested and plumped in the morning. It's also can be used in the the morning as tt's also great to be used under my matte foundation, creating a soft matte, natural and skin-like finish. My makeup application seems better and smoother day by day. Leaves the skin feels hydrated and diminished the appearance of pores and dry patches. I couldn't say much on fine lines and wrinkles as I'm blessed that I do not have one yet. But I'm always a sucker for anti-ageing skincare to help me 'delay' the ageing process. Although some ingredient triggers acne potential, Confidence In A Cream did not break me out a little.
